Working in the field of special education has always been my passion.  My membership in Tri-Counties Branch of IDA, helps support efforts to promote research in the area of dyslexia and learning difficulties, improve literacy for children, youth, and adults, and educate parents, teachers, and legislators about the importance of appropriate instruction and early intervention for students who learn differently.

Literacy

Literacy is one of the most important issues facing us today. Dyslexics can thrive if we all take advantage of neuroplasticity (the brain differences among us).  TCB strives to share with teachers and parents how they can hop on this train through our webinars, conferences, and other programs.  Einstein said, "Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its life believing it is stupid!"
